Winter coats are a real wardrobe essential, especially now winter's come early and the chill seems to be setting in on our commutes.
Though it may seem a bit early, as there's still the occasional summery day and the annual rumour of that elusive Indian summer, it's never too early to get your winter coat - especially as we live in coat-worthy weather for the majority of the year. Instead of the annual stress, searching frantically for one you love when your trench just won't cut it anymore, we've rounded up the best that AW15 has to offer, just as they hit the stores.
As well as the trend-led styles, inspired by the puffa coats at Versace, the bold prints at Christopher Kane and Hunter's practical anoraks, we've also got timeless black coats and classic tailored, duffle, boyfriend-fit and pea coats.
The feminine, princess-style coat is back in a big way, with jewel and pastel-toned wrap styles at Max Mara, Marni and Bottega Venetta. As well as a whole range of colours, we've picked classic single and double breasted coats in the timeless monochrome palette, with navy and grey, too - for all budgets.
Fluffy coats are back, after a big AW14, with Emilio Pucci showing a shorter style in this season's hottest hue: bold red.
We're after a grey wrap coat this season. After the timeless one at Stella McCartney, we've been eyeing up budget versions on the high street from Whistles and River Island.
Check out our pick of the best cover-ups for winter and find one you truly love...
